Arukah Rehab Occupational Therapists are highly experienced in managing hospital discharge cases. Our OTs do home safety assessments, set up home care supports and assist with applications or advocating for insurance funding. WHAT IS ACTIVE REHABILITATION?
Active Rehabilitation is a specific set of exercises designed to restore loss of functional mobility after an injury. We provide Active Rehabilitation services with our Kinesiologists in a nearby community center gym or at your home after assessments and treatments plans have been outlined by our Occupational Therapists.
Exercises with safe movements and proper body mechanics are taught to improve functional mobility and reach rehabilitation goals. Goals could include exercises to return to a normal lifestyle or a gradual return to work program or to restore the ability to engage in a specific activity. Our Kinesiologists provide one-to-one personalized custom-tailored exercises and ensure it is all completed correctly, safely and with proper body mechanics to avoid aggravating current injuries. What is a Kinesiologist?
Kinesiologists are specialists of movement for the human body. They can help you with specific exercises to help you rehabilitate an injury and regain functional mobility through Active Rehabilitation. We ensure our Kinesiologists strictly follow the codes and ethics outlined in the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK). Kinesiologist are also able to do:

In Home Physiotherapy
Our experienced physiotherapist is mobile and will travel to your home if you cannot make it out to a clinic after an accident. Our physio will provide assessments and treatments to benefit your recovery. When you are ready to transition to the clinic-based physiotherapy we will set that all up for you! As we take care of everything, so you can focus on just your recovery and rehabilitation goals such as regaining independence with day to day activities and a return to work program. Pediatric Occupational Therapy
